The Electrical Engineer for Construction Projects is responsible for supporting, reviewing, and overseeing all electrical engineering activities during the execution of industrial construction projects, from design coordination through construction and commissioning phases.

This role ensures that electrical systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in compliance with Siemens Energy standards, applicable codes, project specifications, and local regulations. The position acts as a technical interface between Siemens Energy Real Estate (BSS), the General Contractor, subcontractors, engineering firms, and internal Siemens Energy stakeholders, contributing to safe, reliable, and high-quality project delivery.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • ·       Supervise and monitor electrical construction activities performed by the General Contractor and subcontractors, verifying compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and quality requirements.
  • ·       Support project execution by identifying technical deviations, constructability issues, and interface risks related to electrical systems, proposing practical and compliant solutions in coordination with Project Management.
  • ·       Participate in inspections, factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities for electrical systems, including power distribution, grounding, lighting, and auxiliary systems.
  • ·       Coordinate with EHS, Quality, Civil, Mechanical, and Automation teams to ensure electrical works are safely integrated into overall construction planning and execution.
  • ·       Support technical reporting by documenting progress, punch lists, non-conformities, and lessons learned, providing clear visibility to Siemens Energy Project Management.

What You Bring

  • ·       Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems for industrial facilities, including medium, high and low voltage distribution, grounding systems, lighting, and electrical equipment installation.
  • ·       Ability to interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, technical specifications, and construction method statements.
  • ·       Solid understanding of applicable electrical standards and codes (IEC, NEC/NFPA, IEEE) and ability to align them with Siemens Energy internal requirements and local regulations.
  • ·       Proven communication and coordination skills to interface effectively with contractors, subcontractors, engineering firms, and internal stakeholders.
  • ·       Capability to identify risks, technical gaps, and deviations early, maintaining a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • ·       Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (spoken and written) for technical coordination and reporting.
  • ·       Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
