A Snapshot of Your Day

Siemens is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer heading the Fleet and COE section located in Orlando, USA. This role responsibility is for the performance and service of the legacy fleet and new apparatus.

The candidate will oversee complex design, development, testing and modifications of technical solutions, communication of complex technical and commercial issues. Apply advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices independently. Display a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross functional problems.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Drive the development of next-generation generator performance and design solutions to meet future product needs.
  • Interface with internal and external customers to resolve complex and sensitive technical issues.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with global design teams to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide technical support to Service, Tendering, and cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Continuously improve internal design processes, standards, and methodologies.
  • Serve as a champion and role model for quality culture and technical leadership.

What You Bring

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. (M.S preferred) 
  • 3+ years of electrical engineering experience, including hands-on work in electric rotating machine design.
  • Proficiency in Python, FORTRAN, and C++.
  • Experience using Ansys Electromagnetic Suite, Ansys EMAG, or similar simulation tools for electromagnetic analysis and machine design, including validation of evolving electromagnetic methods.
  • Broad knowledge of generator components, including stator, rotor, and excitation systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. (Current Siemens Energy employees with visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfer consideration.)

Gas Services

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
