A Snapshot of Your Day

As an EHS Professional at Siemens Energy, you’ll partner closely with manufacturing teams, leadership, and contractors to promote a strong safety culture and drive continuous improvement. You’ll help identify and reduce risk, improve environmental performance, and support long‑term organizational goals through hands‑on collaboration and practical EHS initiatives.

How You’ll make an Impact

  • Champion Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) as a core element of operations while supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS programs.
  • Conduct job safety analyses, environmental analyses, and risk assessments across industrial and office environments.
  • Review and adapt EHS programs in response to regulatory or process changes, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and alignment with Siemens Energy standards and business objectives.
  • Lead and support EHS investigations, audits, inspections, and training, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to identify gaps and implement effective risk‑reduction solutions.
  • Monitor EHS performance metrics and KPIs, analyze trends, and recommend continuous improvement actions.
  • Build strong working relationships across the global EHS network, manufacturing sites, and cross‑functional teams while providing ongoing coaching and mentorship on EHS behaviors and risks.

 

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required; Master’s in Engineering preferred. Equivalent EHS/manufacturing experience accepted; required certifications must be obtained as applicable.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an Environmental Health & Safety role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in the power transformer industry strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate on both daily EHS operations and long‑term strategic initiatives.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, EPA, NFPA, FM Global, and DOT regulations.
  • Experience with root cause analysis, hazardous waste management, training, quality systems, and customer interaction.
  • Background in heavy manufacturing environments, including work at heights, electrical hazards, cranes, confined spaces, and hot work.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts and on occasion travel internationally for training.
