A Snapshot of Your Day

The EHS Manager in Projects, or EHSMiP, drives implementation of the Siemens Energy policy and Zero Harm Framework and supports the business throughout the various phases of a project to ensure compliance with applicable internal and external rules & regulations to prevent EHS related hazards and risks. The morning could start with responding to customer requests and clarifying questions within a tender project from our HVDC portfolio. This involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders across Project Management, Engineering, and Installation & Commissioning to ensure aligned and timely responses. After lunch, the focus might shift to a recordable incident in a FACTS project, where you support the incident investigation and root cause analysis (RCA), ultimately contributing to the development of a lesson learned. Before wrapping up the day, travel arrangements are finalized for an upcoming visit to another project site on the U.S. West Coast.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Establishing the EHS framework and project-specific management system that meets internal, customer, regulatory, and business requirements
  • Supporting project and site management in planning, implementing, and monitoring EHS procedures and rules
  • Partnering with Engineering and Project Management to drive safe‑by‑design and safe‑by‑planning decisions
  • Leading or supporting investigations of incidents and near misses, ensuring proper documentation and follow‑up
  • Reporting key EHS KPIs and driving continuous improvement across projects and sites
  • Working primarily from the office while conducting periodic (>25%) site visits for safety walks, inspections, and audits
