A Snapshot of Your Day
As an EHS Advisor and play a crucial role in promoting a culture of safety and compliance within our organization. In this position, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all our activities are conducted safely and in alignment with our Zero Harm ambition.
This role offers flexibility, with the option to be based at either our Leeds or Newcastle office. However, please note that regular nationwide travel will be required to support our project and fixed location service delivery.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Implement EHS management systems across operational projects and office locations.
- Provide guidance on EHS regulations, standards, and industry best practices to enhance performance.
- Integrate sustainability and environmental considerations into EHS practices and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Maintain and develop EHS competence in line with changes in legislation and industry standards.
- Promote a positive EHS culture through effective communication and involvement of all stakeholders.
- Monitor EHS performance through audits, inspections, and regular reporting of statistics and incidents.
What You Bring
- Professional qualifications in health, safety, and environment (e.g., NEBOSH, IEMA).
- EHS auditor qualifications with practical experience (e.g., 45001/14001/90001 Internal or Lead Auditor).
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and sustainability practices.
- Understanding of CDM regulations and Electricity Mechanical Safety Rules.
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability to a dynamic work environment and a full UK driving license.
