A Snapshot of your Day:
Reports directly to the Plant Manager with indirect reporting to the Environmental and Safety Departments of the company. Works closely with human resources, and Operations and Maintenance Managers to ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Assists in the development and implementation of corporate and plant EH&S
- Provides technical support to plant personnel on all EH&S
- Assists with plant requests, i.e., assistance in identifying safety equipment, federal, state and local regulations; procedure reviews and revisions or development; training material and/or instructor costs; review required documentation records for accuracy and filing of
- Assists in self-auditing of plant sites and follow-up of action Conducts investigations of plant events.
- Tracks federal and state EH&S
- Develops and implements EH&S
- Conducts related training for staff
What You Bring
- Five to ten years experience (preferred) in safety specialist or supervisory role, ideally in a power or power-related business.
- Bachelors degree (preferred) or equivalent experience in safety engineering, industrial safety or industrial hygiene.
- Familiar with federal MSHA and OSHA statutes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effectively communicating inside the organization and with outside agencies. Ability to analyze technical and regulatory information, make sound judgments and provide prudent recommendations to all levels of the company. Strong team and leadership skills.
- Advanced skill in operating Microsoft Word 6.0, Power point, Excel, Microsoft Project and other information transmission equipment, as well as comprehensive understanding of equipment capabilities and application procedures, is required.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
