A Snapshot of Your Day 

As a Data Catalogue Product Owner (f/m/d), your day will revolve around maximizing the value of the Siemens Energy Data Catalog by aligning the DevOps team backlog with the needs of various stakeholders, including data governance and engineering teams. You will engage with users to gather feedback, prioritize tasks, and ensure that new iterations of the catalog meet their requirements. Your role will be pivotal in communicating the vision and roadmap of the Data Catalog, fostering collaboration across teams to drive innovation and efficiency. 

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • You will establish and manage key relationships in the DevOps team, data governance, data engineering, and process governance communities, and the software vendor of the SE Data Catalog
  • You will manage and prioritize the DevOps team backlog, and support testing and deployment of new iterations
  • You will get and apply frequent feedback by collecting user stories and qualifying and quantifying benefits of new solutions
  • You will contribute to and communicate the vision and roadmap of the SE Data Catalog to its user groups and senior management
What You Bring
  • University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Information Technologies or a related field.
  • Extensive longlasting DevOps experience with the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform, Informatica Data Catalog, or similar products.
  • Several years of experience in supporting a federated data governance framework within a multinational corporation, preferably in the industry sector.
  • Proven leadership experience in Sprint-based software DevOps using Atlassian Jira or a comparable agile project management solution.
  • Skilled in designing templates and maintaining a register of user stories using Atlassian Confluence or an equivalent collaboration workspace. Experience in managing application software in ServiceNow (or comparable application portfolio management software).
  • Fluent both in German and English, with a strong motivation to contribute to the global transformation and decarbonization of energy generation; open to relocation to Germany.
