A Snapshot of Your Day 

You will work with operations to ensure procedures and other documented information are controlled.  You will assist in facilitating improvements in how we work to make us more efficient and help us execute activities correctly the first time.  Part of your time will also be spent reviewing the implementation of those procedures to ensure they are either being followed or if incorrect, revised to reflect current best practices.

  • Your attention to detail will drive successful execution of processes
  • You will question the norms to help us grow beyond our current limits
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis will help us stop problems from recurring
  • Reviewing and analyzing data trends to stop problems before they occur
  • Experiment with AI tools to automate analysis of information and automate processes
  • Lead Problem-Solving Initiatives: Facilitate A3 problem-solving, Kaizen events, and Value Stream Mapping workshops to identify and eliminate waste.
  • Implement Lean Practices: Sustain Lean methodologies, visual management systems, and standard operating procedures to enhance process efficiency and consistency.
  • Develop Training Programs: Create and deliver training to foster a Lean culture and promote continuous improvement across all organizational levels.
  • Conduct Root Cause Investigations: Utilize tools like 5 Whys and Ishikawa diagrams, along with data analytics, to support improvement initiatives.
  • Establish Best Practices: Implement ‘Best In Class’ methods to reduce costs and minimize process variability.
  • Across Functions: Work closely with Operations, Product Lines, Engineering, other Tooling Depots/organizations and Leadership to align improvement efforts with strategic goals.
  • Maintain Work Standards: Improve work standards and ensure alignment with organizational objectives through regular audits.
  • Leverage AI Tools: Harness AI technology to automate analysis processes, providing insights and streamlining operations for maximum efficiency.

 

What You Bring 

  • Engineering or science-based degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • 6+years experience in an industrial quality-related position
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and ISO standards
  • Problem-solving skills using tools like FMEA, Ishikawa, 5-Why
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methods (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
  • Formal quality certifications are a plus (CQE, CQA, etc.)
