Join Siemens Energy as a Commodity Manager Professional and take charge of sourcing critical components that keep turbine blades and vanes performing at their best. You’ll step into a role where your strategic sourcing expertise shapes our supply chain from start to finish – from market analysis and supplier selection to negotiating high-value contracts and ensuring flawless execution. You will lead commodity strategies that support our financial and operational goals, working closely with cross-functional teams to meet strict cost, quality, and delivery standards. Your day will be a mix of analytical challenges, decisive negotiations, and relationship-building with top-tier suppliers, all driving resilience and excellence in our supply chain.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and lead strategic sourcing activities from proposal phase to contract signature, ensuring optimal supplier selection.
  • Perform total cost of ownership analysis to build business cases, then lead price and contract negotiations to secure top-performing suppliers.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers, drive cost reductions, resolve commercial issues, and maintain high-performance partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create and execute commodity strategies aligned with business goals and market trends.
  • Independently lead complex procurement projects and communicate objectives and results effectively to senior management.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a comparable field – master’s degree is a plus.
  • 8+ years’ experience in procurement, supplier management, or strategic sourcing within an advanced manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and manage complex contracts, including drafting and compliance oversight.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and market analysis skills with a track record in cost optimization.
  • Willing to travel 30% domestically and internationally.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Gas Services

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
