A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Commercial Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing all commercial and financial aspects of our projects. You will collaborate closely with customers, regional entities, and internal departments to ensure adherence to project timelines and objectives, ultimately enhancing project outcomes and customer satisfaction.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead and manage projects throughout the entire project life cycle.
- Actively engage in sales handing over and project initiation phases, including customer requirements analysis and commercial feasibility assessments.
- Review and evaluate contract conditions, ensuring legal scrutiny and compliance.
- Conduct commercial project status meetings with stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Apply appropriate methodologies for evaluating risks and opportunities, developing response strategies as needed.
- Ensure adherence to regulations, including the role of the CPM as per FRG, NCM guidelines, and specific regulations.
- Coordinate onshore and offshore allocations with the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls (RIC), including ICFR.
- Verify cost and pricing calculations, maintaining accurate project books and records, including SAP data.
- Prepare commercial documentation for regular project status meetings, ensuring data accuracy (FC, MIKA, cash flow).
- Manage asset management and initiate invoicing per project progress and contractual terms.
- Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy FRG and local GAAP requirements.
- Oversee the application and management of financial guarantees, bonds, and project securities.
- Support the PM in identifying and minimizing non-conformance costs and implementing lessons learned.
- Independently handle all commercial tasks in several projects, including defining commercial terms, accounting, payment transactions, currency management, taxes, customs, claim management, and project budgets.
- Collaborate with the technical project manager, representing your projects to all internal and external partners, focusing on commercial and legal aspects.
- Conduct risk and opportunity analysis with the technical project manager, defining financial impacts and developing risk mitigation measures and opportunity realization strategies.
- Prepare timely and accurate project financial forecasts, including revenue, profit, and cash planning, and lead status meetings.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s / Masters degree in Business Administration, Financial Accounting, or a comparable field.
- Professional experience in commercial project execution, sales/bid management, controlling/reporting, or a comparable financial role.
- Solid knowledge of project planning, management, and controlling; ideally certified as a Commercial Project Manager.
- Understanding of HGB and IFRS; basic knowledge of contract law, customer negotiation, LoA processes, and payment securities.
- Advanced MS Office and SAP skills; experience with dashboards and data-management systems is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently; fluent in English.
