A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Client Manager, your day revolves around driving and coordinating client activities from project development to order entry. You will focus on delivering successful sales campaigns and customized services for our Steam turbine and Generator portfolio across sectors like Oil & Gas, Mining, Industrial, and Power Generation. Throughout the day, you liaise with customer teams to foster early business development and maintain strong relationships. Additionally, you will identify key project evaluators, influencers, and decision-makers within the customer’s organization, ensuring that effectively communicate the value of Siemens Energy at every stage of the acquisition cycle.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and expand the sustainable service products portfolio to create solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Gather and share insights on customer behavior, industry trends, and competitor information to drive business development.
  • Create a sales plan and strategy for each opportunity, focusing on customer needs, equipment applications, and competitive positioning.
  • Proactively prospect the market to generate new leads and business opportunities.
  • Represent Siemens Energy in pre-contract negotiations and dealings with customers.
  • Plan and participate in conferences and trade shows to promote Siemens Energy offerings.
  • Maintain a robust opportunity pipeline in Salesforce to support overall sales targets and manage customer outage forecasts accurately.
  • Understand customer decision-making processes and develop strategies to position Siemens Energy favorably against competitors while managing organizational risks throughout the sales development process.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in Engineering required with a proven experience in Energy industry and at least 5 years in sales/business development role.
  • Turbo-machinery experience/knowledge is mandatory, strong technical understanding of the steam turbines & generators is required.
  • Understanding on service business in energy industry.
  • Must be native Japanese language speaker and have ability converse in basic English.
  • Ability to work independently and interact with all levels within customer organization, strong analytical and strategic thinker with a focus on technical differentiation and value selling
  • Proficient in communication, both written and spoken, be able to discuss technical and commercial aspects;
  • Strong presentations skills, both written and oral at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
