Position Title: Bid Management Professional
A Snapshot of Your Day
You will join our regional hub sales support team for Compression and Steam Turbine, crafting customer quotations for spare parts opportunities, repair projects, and complete outage projects involving Field service. In this role, you will guide and assist Client Managers in assessing customer requirements and pinpointing service possibilities. Your duties will involve facilitating communication between the Product Competence Centers (PCCs) and different partners (e.g., supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, service project management, client managers).
This role will report to the Managing Director (Siemens Energy West and Central Africa - French-speaking countries) and will be coached by the Senior Area Sales Professional. It will be based out in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. You will support our business activities in the Region.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Crafting technical and commercial service proposals.
- Provide administrative, technical, and commercial support to the Sales team.
- Collaborate with other departments and entities to define the scope of proposals.
- Request and receive pricing from affiliate vendors to support proposals.
- Engage in cooperation with other departments and entities to manage orders.
- Participate in process improvement activities.
- Represent the organization in a professional manner, both internally and externally.
- Follow the published processes and align with all company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that Health & Safety comes first at all times as an ambassador for the business!
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required with 2/3 years’ experience in Energy, Oil & Gas, or Business Administration.
- Mechanical culture is a plus, along with knowledge of sales cycles and processes.
- Knowledge of CRM tools such as Salesforce.com (or similar systems) and experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) is essential.
- Strong business insight, commercial sense, and methodical with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to success, with good interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
- Proficiency in both English and French is necessary.
