The Architectural / Fit-Out Engineer for Construction Projects is responsible for supporting, reviewing, and overseeing all architectural and fit-out works during the execution of industrial construction projects, from design coordination through construction and handover phases.

This role ensures that architectural elements, finishes, and interior/exterior fit-out works are executed in compliance with Siemens Energy standards, project specifications, approved designs, and local regulations. The position acts as a technical interface between Siemens Energy Real Estate (BSS), the General Contractor, architectural subcontractors, engineering firms, and internal Siemens Energy stakeholders, contributing to functional, compliant, and high-quality project delivery.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• ·       Review and coordinate architectural and fit-out design packages developed by third-party engineering and architectural firms, ensuring alignment with Siemens Energy standards, functional requirements, and project scope.
• ·       Supervise and monitor architectural and fit-out construction activities performed by the General Contractor and subcontractors, including finishes, partitions, ceilings, doors, flooring, façade elements, and architectural details.
• ·       Verify that materials, finishes, and workmanship comply with approved submittals, mock-ups, samples, drawings, and technical specifications.
• ·       Identify design conflicts, constructability issues, and interface risks between architectural works and other disciplines (MEP, Civil, Structural), proposing coordinated and compliant solutions.
• ·       Participate in inspections, walkdowns, punch list development, and handover activities, ensuring architectural works meet quality, safety, and functional expectations.
• ·       Support project documentation and reporting by tracking progress, managing non-conformities, and reviewing as-built drawings and O&M documentation related to architectural scope.

What You Bring

• ·       Strong technical knowledge of architectural and fit-out works for industrial facilities, including interior and exterior finishes, building envelope elements, and space functionality.
• ·       Ability to interpret architectural drawings, layouts, sections, details, schedules, and technical specifications.
• ·       Solid understanding of applicable architectural standards, building codes, fire and life safety requirements, and local regulations, with the ability to align them with Siemens Energy internal requirements.
• ·       Experience coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, designers, and multidisciplinary project teams to resolve technical and execution challenges.
• ·       Strong attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and ability to manage multiple interfaces simultaneously.
• ·       Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (spoken and written) for technical coordination and reporting.
• ·       Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.

Profile Summary

Architectural / Fit-Out Engineer with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related discipline, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial or large-scale construction projects. Demonstrated experience supporting architectural design coordination, fit-out execution, quality control, and handover activities. Familiar with international building standards and best practices, with proven ability to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural project environments. Recognized for attention to detail, coordination skills, and commitment to high-quality project delivery.

About the team

The Architectural / Fit-Out Engineer will report to the Project Manager of Siemens Energy Real Estate BSS for the STM300 expansion project located in Santa Teresa, Guanajuato. The role is part of the Siemens Energy project execution organization, working closely with Engineering, Construction, EHS, Quality, and Commissioning teams to ensure the successful delivery of architectural and fit-out works.

You will collaborate with global and local Siemens Energy stakeholders, as well as external contractors, ensuring functional, compliant, and high-quality building spaces.
