A Snapshot of Your Day
You will be part of either of the Core Engineering or Manufacturing organizations who design, manufacture, repair and test aeroderivative gas turbines at our Montreal center of excellence. During your internship you will contribute to multiple engineering teams within the research & development, fleet support, production operations, project management, supply chain and business support functions to gain a wide range of experiences. Within each placement, working in multi-disciplinary teams, you will help to develop solutions to a wide range of gas turbine problems leveraging aerospace and industrial best practice, experts and proprietary tools and methods.
How You’ll Make an Impact
· You will study customer and business needs, existing solutions and best practice guidance to help decide on how to solve problems
· You will look for opportunities to build on prior knowledge when generating solutions
· You will help to understand and quantify project and technical risk
· You will help deliver internal and external milestones in support of customer needs
What You Bring
· You have recently graduated with a bachelor's or master’s degree in aerospace or mechanical or software engineering, operations management, or project management
· You want to explore opportunities within engineering and develop breadth while simultaneously solving real-world problems
· You have an inquisitive nature and pragmatic problem-solving skills
· You are motivated by contributing to multi-disciplinary teams and the development of innovative solutions
· You have an interest in gas turbine technology and working to develop it to remain a useful technology throughout the energy transition
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
