A Snapshot of Your Day

The Repair and Assembly Manager is responsible for the entire management of the Gimpel Valves Repair and Assembly departments, manages the assemblers and CSMs and will work together with Machining Manager on the shop floor to align priorities based on customers need.

The position also provides continuous communication of on-going Repairs, statuses, and path forward to meet commitments to Customers and align strategies with Sales team.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Interpret customer repair/maintenance specifications, review contractual terms, and prepare/issue accurate shop and repair instructions.
  • Support shop personnel during execution and act as liaison between client and shop on status updates, scope changes, and hold points.
  • Develop detailed repair quotations and monitor job costs, focusing on actuals vs. estimates.
  • Provide clear work instructions and produce project documentation and progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, implement lean principles, and integrate digital tools (MIS, AI, real‑time monitoring) to optimize operations.
  • Lead and develop the assembly and repair team, ensuring collaboration with technical and quality specialists to meet all quality and performance standards.

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor's degree (Business or Engineering)
  • Experience with managing project life cycle and cost. Strong capability in project management.
  • Experience with MS Office, Experience with SAP, Experience with PowerBI and AI will be huge advantage
  • Experience working in an organization with a strong commitment to Health, Safety and Environment.
  • Flexible to work extended hours during shutdown time frames which can include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
