A Snapshot of Your Day
Working on Medicine Hat, Alberta – Canada area. The daily activities will perform technical tasks for accomplishing defined services delivery work on Wind Turbines.
Performs electrical and hydraulic maintenances and support technical tasks (for example, basic commissioning of products and systems, integration of components to a system, basic engineering, maintenance and troubleshooting activities) and work packages on-site.
Coordinates and accomplishes defined service operations and/or resolves product issues for wind turbines.
Supporting warehouse, inventory and safety inspections to support the site and team leads.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Physically and mentally able to work suspended from heights and in confined spaces.
- The candidate must demonstrate strong initiative and motivation to learn new technology and translate learning into personal success.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must meet body weight restrictions of 265 pounds or less as required by the safety regulations.
- Must pass a physical administered by a medical practitioner to ensure ability to safely perform the job functions and meet the physical demands of the position.
- Relevant work experience or demonstrated knowledge e.g., electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, maintenance/troubleshooting in a military, industrial or automotive industry. Ideally within the wind industry would be preferred.
- An electrical and/or mechanical education would be preferable. Open to candidates in near completion of technical degrees/certifications.
- Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in Canada.
- Driving is an essential function of the job and applicants must have a valid driver’s license at the time of application with an acceptable driving record. Employees must maintain a valid license and acceptable driving record and may be subject to periodic checks of their license.
- Candidate must be able to work Overtime and be on scheduled standby for weekends and holidays.
What You Bring
- Wind Turbine up tower work is preferred.
- 2 years Electrical and Mechanical work experienced.
- Highschool diploma is requires, but technical education background is preferred.
