A Snapshot of the Day

Join our dynamic LIF team in Construction & Operation, where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing offshore lifting operations from planning to execution. As the Technical Project Manager for the Traverse System, you will engage closely with various teams, including the Construction department and equipment designers, to manage critical interfaces. Your mission is to ensure the timely delivery of the traverse system for execution projects, optimizing mobilizations while tracking performance, progress, and economic efficiency. Imagine being at the forefront of innovative energy solutions, where your contributions directly impact on our projects and the environment!

What is Traverse System

The Traverse System is a tagline system of 4 winch modules including electricals, access structures and crane interface structures. The interface structures are designed to fit the specific IV crane main structures.

The Traverse system overall has the purpose to reduce and stabilize the lateral and vertical movements of a crane's load, enabling the precise handling of heavy components by ensuring the stability of the load during lifting operations. The system works by transmitting tension through taglines, which can be controlled both vertically and horizontally by the yoke operator through the remote. The Traverse system is used for both Loading and Installation activities and is an important factor for safe and controlled lifting operations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Coordinate and plan traverse system projects, collaborating with stakeholders such as vessel owners, crane manufacturers, equipment suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Contributing design requirements and prioritization to ensure performance, timely delivery, and fast mobilization.
  • Reviewing technical deliverables from subcontractors to ensure quality.
  • Reviewing space claim, clash checks and overall fitness of traverse system on crane while connected to lifting devices.
  • Identifying risks and implementing appropriate mitigative actions.
  • Supporting the tender department with technical requests and contract inputs.
  • Contributing to cost reduction and process control.
  • Maintaining and sharing financial overviews with execution projects.
  • Acting as the point of contact for traverse systems between execution projects and the Equipment department.

What You Bring

  • A degree in engineering, BTecMan, or a similar field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project execution of traverse systems, sea-fastening, lifting equipment, lifting operations, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with AutoCAD; NX or Inventor is preferred but not required.
  • Strong technical leadership skills, with an understanding of technical challenges while maintaining timelines and financial oversight.
  • Familiarity with International Codes & Standards, mainly Eurocode, DNV, and ISO.
  • Ability to identify potential risks early and act accordingly.
  • Familiarity with mechanical/structural design, concept development, 3D models, and fabrication drawings.
