As a Project Manager within the Grid Technologies Order Execution UK and Ireland team, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of transmission projects across a diverse product portfolio, including Transformers, AIS, GIS, and Surge Arresters. Working closely with customers, global factory teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role combines technical coordination, commercial awareness, and proactive stakeholder engagement, with regular collaboration across international teams and periodic travel to customer sites.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Deliver transmission projects in line with agreed timelines, quality standards, budgets, and contractual requirements
- Coordinate with global factories, subcontractors, and cross-functional teams to enable smooth and efficient project execution
- Manage project scope, risks, opportunities, and variation orders to protect business outcomes and customer satisfaction
- Oversee logistics, documentation, and compliance with UK & Ireland regulations, including EHS requirements
- Support accurate financial and commercial reporting, including invoicing, cash flow, and revenue recognition
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support long-term collaboration and repeat business
What You Bring
- Proven experience in project management within an engineering, transmission, or infrastructure environment.
- A flexible and structured approach to managing multiple products and varying levels of project complexity
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and relevant transmission and distribution standards
- Strong awareness of commercial, contractual, and risk management considerations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in global, multi‑disciplinary teams
- An IPMA (or equivalent recognised project management) qualification is desirable, alongside familiarity with UK & Ireland regulations and current health, safety, and environmental legislation
