A Snapshot of Your Day
The role works closely with the production department to identify cause codes for claims entered into the system, collaborating with Buyers, Project Procurement Managers, and Commodity Managers to understand the underlying issues and supplier responses. It involves preparing and conducting negotiations to achieve the highest feasible savings, while also generating, documenting, and implementing cost-saving measures to support business success and ensure transparency of results. Additionally, the role monitors and reports relevant issues to management to ensure awareness and appropriate action. When necessary, it coordinates with in-house counsel to determine the escalation path for unresolved matters and is responsible for investigating, resolving, and pursuing recoveries on all types of claims.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Prepares summary statements and presentations to senior management related to large-dollar or persistent issues
- Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers (requisitioners) to ensure customer care and early involvement.
- Issue high volume of Purchase Orders in SAP PS1 for low to medium complexity parts
What You Bring
- 5 years of purchasing experience
- Minimum 2 years of SAP Buying experience is required for this role.
- A strong understanding of the Terms and Conditions of Purchase, as well as Long Term Contract agreements is also required. Able to work in a fast paced, varied environment and manage priorities while maintaining a positive, customer focused attitude.
- Advanced English level.
