A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our dynamic team as a Software Developer in the GCO EN D&S PMO, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our COMOS engineering platform. Imagine designing and implementing software solutions that not only support our internal R&D initiatives but also cater to external customer projects. You will engage in hands-on development and provide technical project support, collaborating closely with a diverse network of stakeholders. Your ability to manage complex projects and translate engineering requirements into robust software solutions will be key to your success. How You’ll Make an Impact
- Design and develop tailored software solutions on the COMOS Aries engineering platform to fulfill specific R&D and customer project needs.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for solution designs, data models, and system integrations.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of technologies and methodologies to enhance the engineering tool ecosystem’s functionality and performance.
- Implement and manage system configurations, customizations, and integrations based on approved architectural designs.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and debugging to resolve complex technical issues within the application and its interfaces.
- Manage source code and deployment packages using version control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and customers to define technical scope, deliverables, and timelines.
- Provide expert-level technical guidance and support to project teams and end-users during implementation and operational phases.
- Coach and mentor junior developers and team members on software development best practices and platform-specific knowledge.
- Foster close collaboration and support for our Engineering Systems team and its Business Analysts.
What You Bring
- Proven experience with C#, .NET Framework, WPF, and GIT.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex software projects or processes with minimal oversight.
- Experience in developing custom solutions within an existing framework of a third-party application.
- Familiarity with Kanban and Scrum methodologies, including tools like Azure DevOps and Jira.
- Knowledge of AI/LLM assisted development, including its possibilities and pitfalls.
- Experience with web API integrations and asynchronous programming.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- An open mindset that values new ideas, positive thinking, and problem-solving.
- A structured approach to continuous improvement in work processes.
- Interest in collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Proficiency in Swedish and English is required.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, Snowflake, or other data lake solutions, as well as large database management, migration, and data extraction is a plus.
- Familiarity with additional programming languages (such as VB, Python, etc.) is advantageous.
About the Team
You will be part of the SE D GCO EN D&S PMO management team, which consists of three specialized teams: Project Management, Engineering Systems, and Technical Information Systems. Together, we work collaboratively to drive project success and deliver innovative solutions that meet our customers’ needs.
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
