Are you ready to make an impact by solving real-world challenges and driving innovation in energy solutions? Join our talented team at Siemens Energy as a Structural Calculation Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the strength, durability, and reliability of our cutting-edge products. You will collaborate with designers daily, contributing to the development of energy solutions that meet the highest industry standards for both onshore and offshore projects. Imagine building and evaluating finite element models to assess static capacity, stiffness, stability, and fatigue of structures while driving efficiency through innovative scripting in Python and MATLAB. Your insights will be delivered through clear technical reports and presentations, making a significant impact on our internal and external stakeholders.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will analyze and evaluate finite element models to assess the static capacity, stiffness, stability, and fatigue of structures.
- Collaborate closely with a team of experienced engineers to develop cost-effective solutions tailored to our customers’ needs.
- Create and maintain proprietary scripts in Python and MATLAB to streamline processes and innovate new methods of working.
- Deliver clear and impactful results through technical reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
What You Bring
- You possess strong analytical skills and a natural talent for solving technical challenges.
- As a team player, you stay organized and focused, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery.
- You have experience with the Finite Element Method (FEM) and are skilled in creating simulation models.
- Hands-on experience with tools like Abaqus, HyperWorks, Ansa, or Ansys is essential; knowledge of MATLAB and/or Python is a bonus!
- You excel in communication and enjoy building strong relationships with both internal teams and customers.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field, with a focus on structural analysis and strength, is required.
- You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
About the Team
You will be part of a team of experienced calculation engineers in a fun and challenging environment, where inclusion and diversity are key pillars. The group is driven by solving challenging problems and staying at the forefront of developing new methods in the field of strength analysis.
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
