A Snapshot of Your Day
The Business Development Professional for Grid Consulting will lead growth initiatives, identify emerging markets, and foster strategic partnerships for Siemens Energy’s Digital Grid Consulting business. This position plays a key role in driving revenue, expanding the customer base for our Grid Consulting services. The ideal candidate will bring a strong passion for digital innovation and a deep understanding of the energy sector, serving as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal team.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in target markets, contributing to the development of a strong sales pipeline aligned with growth objectives.
- Expand relationships with utilities, regulators, partners, and industry collaborators, and represent Siemens Energy at events to promote the Digital Grid Consulting portfolio.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and sales teams to shape tailored value propositions and translate customer needs into innovative, competitive offerings.
- Support the strategy and coordination of proposals, bids, and presentations, ensuring cross-functional teams deliver compelling, customer-focused solutions.
- Maintain key customer relationships and bring external market insights into the business, aligning Siemens Energy’s offerings with evolving needs and coordinating global expertise to support regional engagement.
What You Bring
- Have a significant background in consulting in the energy sector, across the investment cycle.
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Energy Systems, or a related field, or has equivalent experience; an advanced degree (MBA, MSc) is preferred.
- Brings experience in business development, sales, or account management within the energy sector.
- Demonstrates strong technical knowledge in transmission system planning, power system performance analysis, and grid operations, including stability studies. coordination.
- Communicates effectively with diverse audiences, builds strong relationships across organizations, and adapts to evolving industry trends with strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
