A Snapshot of Your Day

Step into a critical role within the Siting, Controls & Performance team, where you help ensure seamless business continuity by strengthening our control system capabilities. Each day, you will work across two key areas: advanced control software development and fleet performance analysis for G2, D3, and G4 turbine platforms. Your work will span clean‑code development, CI/CD setup, data‑driven diagnostics, and in‑depth troubleshooting—directly contributing to improved reliability and performance of turbine control systems.
You will collaborate with global stakeholders, solve complex engineering challenges, and support project deliverables that drive operational excellence across the fleet.

How You’ll Make an Impact
Control Software Development & Lifecycle Management (50%)
  • Develop, refactor, and optimize control system source code (C/C++) using clean‑code principles for improved maintainability and performance.
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD environments (e.g., GitLab, Docker) to automate compilation, testing, and deployment workflows.
  • Define, implement, and maintain unit tests to ensure software modules meet reliability and quality standards.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to sprint planning, and maintain clear technical documentation, procedures, and manuals.

Fleet Issue Analysis & System Validation (50%)
  • Analyze operational data from G2D3 and G4 platforms to perform root‑cause assessments of fleet‑wide control issues.
  • Investigate complex anomalies, alarms, and performance deviations reported from the field.
  • Validate deliverables and support commissioning of control software and hardware components.
  • Collaborate with platform teams and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of issues and provide knowledge transfer or training when needed.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Control Systems, Computer Science Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Hands‑on experience in control system software development (C/C++), data analysis (MATLAB, Python), and working with CI/CD environments.
  • Typically 5–8 years of experience in wind turbine control systems, industrial automation, or embedded software development.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret data and diagnose system behavior.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems, engineering design processes, quality investigations, and commissioning workflows.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions, influence stakeholders, and contribute to an engineering culture focused on quality and continuous improvement.
