Every day will be different depending on proposal, customer requests, and the phase within the proposal. You lead a team of engineers and other disciplines, meet with them and define what needs to be done in order to provide a price and a documentation to the customer, providing upfront a briefing to the management together with your sales team that will contain a schedule and risk analysis, a contractual terms analysis and a proof of soundness of the proposal you are preparing.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Following a Go Decision by the relevant Sales responsible, the Tender Manager (f/m/d) gets involved early in the development of a project to support the implementation of strategic aspects which are important for the later bidding process. Upon issuance of the RFQ and receipt of the Bid Decision they are fully responsible for the timely and complete creation of competitive bid pricing and documentation. Cooperation with Sales and Business Development during the pre-bid stage incl. price development and leading the consolidation of the project costs
- Facilitation of pre-bid qualification and budget offers
- Analysis of tender documents and consolidation of tender documentation for the customers
- Responsible for organizing and driving a multi-disciplined, multi-national tendering or execution team to create necessary bid inputs and documentation on time and to the highest quality possible.
- Identifying and engaging in creative solutions and cost reduction strategies to put forth the most compelling offer possible and completing risk Analysis at the tender stage
- Support of win-loss analysis together with Sales and Business Development as well as execute the project as part of the global project delivery team
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- Proven experience in Bid or Tender Management in the field of Battery Energy Storage or Power Transmission and Distribution
- Experience in project acquisition or execution, project management and/or sales would be ideal
- Knowledge about compliance/ rules and regulations
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and experience in functional leadership, including coaching and guiding teams
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work in an international, intercultural environments and across diverse organizational cultures; strong proficiency in German and English is required
