We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Manager to support Gas Services region Canada located in Oakville! Lead and manage a team of quality professionals with strong experience in collaborator management. This role will require experience with quality management service (Inspection, repair and refurbishment) programs of large and medium rotating equipment like Gas and Steam Turbines and Generators and Balance of Plant equipment. The key external collaborator will be large Fossil, Nuclear utilities, oil and gas industry in Canada and internal collaborators will be District Service Managers, Project Managers, Technical Specialists, Management teams in Canada and US. The Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance are maintained across all operations and projects in a construction environment. This role requires a strong understanding of CSA N299 and N286.12 quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and Power Generation industry
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of quality professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
- Quality Assurance: Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance quality and efficiency in all operations and projects.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities and processes align with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards especially confirmed knowledge of CSA N299.16 and N286.12 standards along with ISO 9001.
- Customer Satisfaction: Work closely with collaborators to understand their needs and expectations and ensure that internal governance and quality standards are met or exceeded.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present regular reports on quality performance, issues, and improvements to senior management and collaborators.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.), preferably in Quality Management, Engineering, Business Management or related field.
- 7+ years of combined experience as a Manager in Nuclear Standards quality management and/or, field service/construction of Power Generation equipment. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
- Professional knowledge and direct experience related to CSA N299, CSA N286.12 and ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
- Solid understanding & experience with implementing and managing quality principles, Root Cause Analysis methodologies, and continuous improvement tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
- Firm understanding of Gas Services North America business processes an asset.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the Canada without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
