A Snapshot of Your Day

This role is being created to ensure business continuity by replacing a Project Manager for blade repair projects within the Onshore Wind Power division for North America. The position is critical for overseeing the lifecycle of large corrective maintenance projects focused specifically on wind turbine blades, directly supporting operational uptime and asset integrity. To meet these objectives, this Specialist role is structured around three core areas: comprehensive project planning and execution, diligent financial and resource management, and robust stakeholder and quality engagement. This framework ensures that all aspects of complex blade repair projects, from initial scoping and budgeting to final delivery and client communication, are managed effectively. Given the focus on large-scale, technical corrective projects, the ideal candidate will be a recognized subject matter expert with extensive experience managing industrial projects. They will possess advanced skills in project management methodologies, financial controls, risk mitigation, and quality assurance, preferably gained within the wind energy or a related sector.

  • Develop and control project budgets, monitor costs, manage forecasting, and oversee invoicing and procurement processes. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, resolving complex problems and obstacles to ensure on-time and on-budget completion.
  • Monitor and report on project status, including key performance indicators for cost, timing, and staffing, to senior management. Integrate and manage vendor tasks, tracking deliverables and ensuring they meet contractual and quality requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including customers, internal teams, and external vendors, to ensure clear communication and alignment. Ensure all project activities adhere to internal and external quality standards (e.g., ISO) and safety protocols.
  • Manage customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular updates and resolving any issues to maintain satisfaction.
