A Snapshot of Your Day

The Demand Planning Support role is key in bridging the gap between Supply Chain Management and SE business demands. The position works with the Supply Chain to provide inventory management of Small, Medium and Aeroderivative components to SE's customers while optimizing the balance between cost, inventory levels, turns and availability. The role will actively drive the team on improvement topics with regards to digitalization/automation, collaboration, and relationship management with partners across the organization!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Pre-emptively plan and control assigned inventory and safety stock (e.g., supply level, planning adjustments, etc.)
  • Proactively work with key internal organizations (i.e., Applications Engineering, Engineering, Quality, LTP, PCC’s) to maximize parts combination and availability of parts.
  • Management of relationships with back-office functions including, but not limited to supply management, materials management, engineering, marketing, Parts configuration management, FAST logistics center, external service providers (FF) and customers.
  • Manage inventory from a Tactical / Transaction Standpoint: Restocking, setting safety stock levels, reorder points etc.
  • Create and Manage Purchase Orders placed on the Suppliers for inventory replenishment
  • Import and Logistics Management of Parts from Suppliers - Familiarity with US Customs import regulations and SE Logistics requirements

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or combined equivalent of education and work experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in inventory management, or similar experience.
  • Proven planning, solution focused customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Supply Chain, SAP, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and MS Word.
  • Strong teammate, able to collaborate across a diverse organization! Efficient presentation, analytical and communication abilities.
  • Must be a self-starter and highly professional, displays a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems
