As one of our Industrial Cybersecurity Experts, you will become a true professional in thinking outside the box. To better protect our IT and OT systems, you will explore all possible ways to deceive, bypass, and strengthen them effectively. You will ask questions that have no answers yet and look for gaps where hardly anyone suspects them. We support your continuous education and exchange with colleagues from around the world. Your work will directly contribute to improving our project execution and meeting market requirements. You will work closely with various teams to implement new security features and optimize existing systems. 

One thing is certain: your ideas will not disappear into a drawer but will almost always be implemented in operational practice – and that worldwide.Additionally, you will have opportunities for personal development and career growth, learning new things, staying up to date, and developing knowledge outside of your domain.


How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Joining the IT and OT security efforts: Contributing to the field of control and protection technology for critical energy transmission systems.
  • Contributing to a future market: Applying your knowledge of IT and OT security to protect critical infrastructure.
  • Developing advanced security concepts: Creating innovative IT and OT security protection concepts in development projects.
  • Conducting threat and risk analyses: Identifying potential threats and risks, and defining appropriate countermeasures.
  • Staying updated on technical developments: Following technological trends and continuously expanding your know-how in IT and OT security.
  • Collaborating with various teams: Working closely with different departments to implement and optimize security features and systems.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor or Master in IT Security, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering with a focus on IT Security, or a comparable qualification.
  • Basic security certifications such as GIAC GSEC or similar.
  • Familiarity with relevant OT cybersecurity standards (e.g., IEC 62443, NERC CIP) and one IT standard (e.g., ISO27001) is a plus.
  • Understanding of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, TLS/SSL, 802.1X and basic skills in using tools like Kali Linux, Nessus, Wireshark.
  • Knowledge of digital certificates (X.509) and system hardening techniques.
  • Proficiency in German and English, with a high level of initiative and communication abilities and a strong drive for innovation and continuous learning.
