Snapshot of the Day
As an Export Control Business Partner at country level, you are the key point of contact for export control compliance within Siemens Energy in your assigned country. You ensure the effective implementation of the Export Control Internal Control Program (ICP), advise country management and business functions, and translate complex regulations into practical, business-oriented solutions. Your role combines regulatory expertise, operational support, and close collaboration across functions to safeguard compliant and efficient international business activities.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Act as the main export control advisor for country management and business functions, providing professional guidance and practical solutions
- Implement the Export Control ICP and standardized export control processes in line with global governance and local requirements
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure timely implementation of national and international export control regulations
- Evaluate business transactions and risks, including countries of concern, and support critical decision-making processes
- Manage export control tools and systems (including SAP authorizations and testing) and support tool landscape changes and project
- Represent the company in audits, monitoring activities, and interactions with authorities and internal governance teams
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field, or equivalent professional education combined with 4+ years of relevant working experience.
- Solid working knowledge of EU, US, and national export / re-export regulations and export control classifications (ECCN, national codes) and experience with export license processes, technology transfer controls, and internal control plans
- Strong understanding of business processes and ERP systems (SAP experience preferred). Ability to perform risk assessments, audits, and incident management in a complex regulatory environment
- Excellent communication, training, and stakeholder management skills across functions and cultures
- Proactive, analytical, and agile mindset with the ability to handle complex issues and drive continuous improvement.
- German language skills are an advantage.
