A Snapshot of Your Day:

As a Bid Manager at Siemens Energy, you will target candidates with a strong technical background and experience in tendering and project management, particularly in high-voltage switchgear services. You will lead meaningful projects that involve competitive tenders, ensuring that customer requirements are met while driving profitability and compliance. Your work will significantly impact the team, clients, and partners by fostering collaboration and delivering high-quality bids that align with Siemens Energy’s mission of providing reliable and sustainable energy solutions. How You’ll Make an Impact:
  • Own the end-to-end bid process from decision to contract award, ensuring timely and compliant submissions.
  • Translate customer specifications into customized scopes and execution concepts, collaborating with engineering and procurement teams.
  • Build pricing and cost baselines, consolidating vendor quotes for commercial calculations.
  • Coordinate internal reviews and approvals, securing timely Letters of Approval (LoA) and management buy-in.
  • Drive tender strategy and win themes, emphasizing reliability and lifecycle services for GIS customers.
  • Maintain accurate bid data in tools like Salesforce/SAP and contribute to continuous improvement in the proposal process.

What You Bring:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business with a strong technical affinity; experience in high-voltage switchgear/substations is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in tendering, sales, proposal management, or project management for complex technical offerings (ideally GIS/AIS service).
  • Confident handling of specifications, terms and conditions, risk management, and multi-stakeholder alignment under time pressure.
  • Business-fluent English; proficiency in local languages (German, Arabic) is advantageous for customer and supplier interactions.
  • A collaborative mindset with a strong sense of ownership and a structured working style.
  • Excellent written communication skills to effectively convey complex information.
