What You Can Expect
Over two exciting years, you’ll gain hands-on experiences and become an active part of your team’s daily activities. Through impactful projects in three customized assignments - including an eight-month international placement - you’ll gain a deep understanding of Siemens Energy. A dedicated mentor will support you every step of the way, giving you the chance to explore different roles, engage in immersive experiences, and build a strong network with peers and industry leaders.
You will join a team shaping the next generation of industrial AI at Siemens Energy, working on real-world challenges across energy systems, infrastructure, and large-scale operations. From day one, you will contribute to building intelligent solutions that turn complex data into actionable insights, helping to improve efficiency, reliability, and sustainability at scale.
How You’ll Make an Impact

- You’ll share our purpose in energizing society by supporting customers with transitioning to a more sustainable world and work on real global issues, creating solutions that directly make an impact.
- Contribute to the development of Industrial AI services, including data pipelines, model services, and reusable components that enable scalable AI adoption across energy and industrial systems
- Work with real-world industrial and energy data to support high-impact use cases such as predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, performance optimization, and autonomous system insights.
- Support the integration of AI capabilities into production environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and alignment with real-world operations and business processes
- Explore and help prototype next-generation AI applications, including agentic AI systems, intelligent automation, and robotics-enabled use cases that extend AI from insights to action
What You Bring
- Strong foundation in machine learning, data science, or applied mathematics, with hands-on experience in Python and common ML frameworks
- Relevant experience through internships and/or working student roles is essential; additional permanent work experience of up to 36 months is welcome
- A master's or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related quantitative field Minimum of 3 months of international experience gained through studying or working
- Excellent English skills to engage in a multicultural environment, with flexibility and willingness for international travel.
