The Electrical Technician II is responsible for performing a full range of maintenance activities, including sensory, predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on electrical installations and equipment within the entire Electrical Power System. This role also involves the hands-on operation of transformation, switching, protection, control, and automation equipment to ensure system reliability and efficiency. A key aspect of this position is the analytical and documentation duties associated with maintenance and operation. The technician will be responsible for preparing and validating detailed technical reports, equipment test sheets, and thermography analysis reports. This requires a meticulous approach to data collection and a strong ability to interpret technical findings to support maintenance strategies and operational decisions. Operating as a service provider at the client's site, the Electrical Technician II will work closely with the local team, reporting directly to the supervisor or immediate leader of the operation or maintenance staff. This requires excellent interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to integrate seamlessly into the client's operational framework while upholding service standards.
What You Need To Make a Difference
- 60% Electrical System Maintenance and Operation
- Perform sensory, predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on high-voltage electrical installations and equipment.
- Operate transformation, switching, protection, control, and automation equipment within the power system.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in substation equipment and power distribution systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and tests on circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and protective relays.
- 40% Technical Analysis and Reporting
- Prepare, review, and validate technical reports on maintenance activities and equipment condition.
- Develop and validate thermography reports to identify potential equipment failures.
- Complete and maintain accurate equipment test sheets and maintenance records.
- Analyze test data and operational parameters to recommend improvements and corrective actions.
Certifications

Education
- Technical degree in Electrotechnics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in the maintenance and operation of high-voltage electrical power systems or industrial electrical installations.
