How you’ll make an impact
As a Technical Procurement Coordinator you will be responsible for the efficient and timely procurement of technical tools, spares, and consumables on an ad-hoc basis. This role requires a quick turnaround and a detailed understanding of technical specifications to meet the immediate needs of our operations. Your ability to act swiftly in procuring the right materials is critical; any delays can halt operations, leading to significant costs in both time and resources. By ensuring that our procurement process is driven with urgency and precision, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining operational continuity and supporting the overall efficiency of our operations.
- Manage Procurement Process: Be responsible for the complete procurement cycle for technical tools, spares, and consumables.
- Supplier Coordination: Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Supplier Evaluation and Negotiation: Assess and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best terms and conditions.
- Record Maintenance: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all procurement activities.
- Technical Specification Understanding: Interpret and understand technical specifications and requirements for procurement.
- Collaboration with Technical Teams: Collaborate with technical teams to ensure procurement meets operational needs.
- Urgent Procurement Handling: Efficiently manage urgent and ad-hoc procurement requests.
- Task Prioritization: Prioritize tasks to ensure quick turnaround for critical procurement needs.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Supplier Performance Evaluation: Regularly assess supplier performance and reliability.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Purchase Order and Contract Processing: Prepare and process purchase orders and contracts according to company standards.
- Documentation Maintenance: Maintain comprehensive documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
What you bring
We’re looking for a dynamic individual with a background in Engineering, Production Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Your experience in technical procurement, along with your strong negotiation and communication skills, will set you apart in our fast-paced environment. Key qualifications include:
- Effective Communicator: Strong interpersonal skills for handling stakeholders.
- Sense of Urgency: Ability to ensure timely procurement and maintain operational continuity.
- Team Collaborator: A proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
- Procurement Experience: Proven track record in procuring technical tools and consumables.
- Technical Competence: Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- ERP Proficiency: Familiarity with ERP systems, especially SAP, to enhance procurement processes.
- Diligent: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
