A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Technical Editor for Turbo Machinery in our OM TD DO team, you will play a key support role in the writing and editing of customer documentation for Siemens Energy for our documentation department in Muelheim, Germany.

You will support the documentation process together with relevant interface partners and compile manuals according to a specified structure. In collaboration with the respective specialist departments, you will develop new text modules, considering applicable standards and relevant norms.

How You'll Make a Difference

• Support in preparing project-specific product, operation, and maintenance manuals for steam turbines and generators

• Provide consulting support to Sales and Engineering regarding product documentation within subprojects

• Submit description proposals to the departments responsible in case of deviations from a standard scope

• Support the technical editorial office in Germany

• Support the order management and new apparatus within the project processing

• Handle PDF and content management on a daily basis

What You Bring

• You have graduated from university, preferred Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Data Science, or gained experience in any related field .

• You bring experience regarding power plants or turbo machinery as a plus.

• You have MS Office365 applications skills, preferred first experience in data exploring as well as SAP capabilities.

• Excellent team skills with effective communication & interpersonal skills to blend in a multicultural and cross-regional working team but also like to work independently.

• You speak English on an advanced level. German is a great plus.

• Terms like empowerment and self-driven-agile teams is nothing new for you.

• You work in an organized manner and do not hesitate to ask questions and address your ideas.

About the team

The team is part of the new apparatus order management and is responsible for writing, editing, and delivering customer and project specific documentation for the operation and maintenance of heavy machinery for power plants. While adhering to relevant rules and regulations, the team plays a key role in ensuring a high level of quality and standardization for our project execution deliverables.
