A Snapshot of Your Day
As the Project Engineer steam generator / boiler / dSCR systems (engineering and supply management) in international proposal and execution teams and with international contractors you will keep on track and technical design, integration, quality, safety, performance of the boiler system, corresponding combined heat and power, decarbonized and hybrid solutions in the entire power plant!
In this role evaluation and commenting of customer specification, customers questionnaire, compilation of proposal documents, cost calculations and evaluation of transport/erection quantities for respective scope. Compilation of RfQ (Request for Quotation) documents for the suppliers, evaluation and comparison of incoming offers, negotiation with suppliers until contract placement readiness!
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Impact the success of the projects with your responsibility for design, quality and time schedule for a proposal or execution projects
- Evaluate customer requirements (e.g. specifications, contract)
- Towards the contractor you will prepare technical specifications and inquiry documents
- You will coordinate and optimize system interfaces (process, mechanical, piping, electrical, I&C (Instrumentation and Control), layout, civil and structural)
- In execution projects you will review, design of the components including of strength calculations, structural dynamics analyses and life assessments
What You Bring
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related
- 1+ years of experience within the field of mechanical engineering in the power generation market preferred, open to new graduates with internship experience
- Specialist knowledge of Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) systems and Power Plant components associated codes and standards for HRSGs, services of Power Plant as well as Combined Heat and Power solution business. As well, understanding of dSCRs.
- Ability to review the design of complete Boiler/HRSG systems regarding budget, quality and time ant the capability to participate in cross-functional and cross-product line initiatives, domestically and internationally
- Self-motivation with high energy drive and business sense and capability of multitasking, with excellent organizational skills while assuring a high-quality work process and willingness for business travels with international contacts (Minimum 20% travel is required)
- Excellent English skills compared with intercultural sensitivity, to work in (virtual) international teams and with international suppliers
