A Snapshot of Your Day

You'll be part of a global team of commodity managers, working on office and factory supplies, PPE and lifting equipment across our factories worldwide. Your day-to-day will center on digging into our PO and spend data to spot trends, consumption patterns, and improvement opportunities - work that directly feeds into the savings and procurement projects the team is constantly running. You'll support RFQs, supplier selection, and process improvements, working closely with the whole team rather than a single manager. As a student worker you’re expected to take ownership of your own projects and you’ll build your own network across the business.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Support procurement teams in data analysis on spend, materials consumption, factory synergies, and improvement areas
  • Engage in the development of global procurement tools and templates for RFQs (Request for Quotation), and assist in supplier selection processes
  • Assist on procurement process improvement projects, such as eliminating manual purchase order creation, increasing use of IM buying channels, and implementing vendor managed inventory
  • Support the wider team's data-driven approach to identifying savings and efficiency opportunities across our global factory network

What You Bring

  • Currently studying a Bachelor's or Master's Degree within Business Economics, Logistics and Supply Chain, Engineering, or similar
  • Able to support us for at least 12 months (ideally 24 months), 15–20 hours per week
  • Strong in navigating the Microsoft Office package, especially Excel
  • Fluent in English. Danish or German is an advantage
  • Self-driven, analytical and social
  • Good at coordinating as we expect you to handle various tasks in parallel
  • Beneficial if you have experience with Power BI and/or SAP or other ERP systems

About the Team

We're a team of six commodity managers covering the entire world between us. Everyone on the team has a dual role: a global lead on a specific commodity (for example, material handling equipment), combined with a regional focus where we travel to visit factories to work closely with local management. You'll be based in Aalborg, with colleagues also in U.S, China, Germany and UK. It's a positive and social work environment with flexible working hours that adapt to your lectures and homework.
