Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy

Snapshot of Your Day
You will support the evaluation of structural loads across multiple wind farms by combining numerical modelling and operational data. Your day involves analysing time-series data, reusing aero‑elastic simulations, and building meaningful indicators to monitor fatigue and extreme loads. You will investigate anomalies, compare farms at fleet level, and help improve the accuracy of internal models. You collaborate with technical experts, contribute to data-processing automation, and share insights through technical notes and presentations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Analyse operational data from several wind farms and prepare clean, structured datasets.
- Use and improve in‑house aero‑elastic modelling tools to support load assessment.
- Develop fleet‑level indicators for fatigue and extreme loads and monitor performance trends.
- Perform detailed investigations of events of interest using time-series analysis.
- Compare farms systematically to identify deviations, structural behaviour patterns, and root causes.
- Support internal engineering teams through targeted analyses and data‑processing automation.
What You Bring
- Final‑year engineering student from a top French engineering school: CentraleSupélec, École Polytechnique, ENSTA, ISAE‑Supaero, Arts et Métiers, IMT Atlantique, INSA, UTC, ENPC – École des Ponts ParisTech, Mines Paris, Centrale Lyon, Centrale Nantes, or an equivalent institution.
- Background in mechanical engineering, structural mechanics, fluid and solid mechanics; knowledge of aeroelasticity is an advantage.
- Strong interest in numerical modelling and data analysis.
- Proficiency in scientific programming tools (Python, MATLAB).
- Ability to handle large datasets and extract meaningful engineering conclusions.
- Fluency in English required; French is a plus.
