A Snapshot of Your Day

As a SW Development/Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in enhancing our simulation model development workflow for grid connection studies. You’ll implement automation, verification, and deployment processes using CI/CD principles in GitLab, ensuring our power system simulation models are robust, validated, and efficiently deployed. Collaborating closely with grid connection engineers and software developers, you’ll help streamline model integration and validation, contributing to the reliability and quality of renewable energy solutions.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and maintain automation pipelines for verification, validation, and deployment of power system simulation models.
  • Implement CI/CD workflows in GitLab to streamline model development and ensure consistency.
  • Integrate automated testing and verification processes to enhance simulation accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize model performance and workflow efficiency.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Power System Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD and pipeline automation, as well as proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar).
  • Knowledge of power system simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD, EMTP-RV, or DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and experience with version control systems (Git, GitLab, or GitHub).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a multicultural, collaborative environment with fluency in English.
