A Snapshot of Your Day

Within our Marine Service Team we support our international customers in solving their problems and improve their processes. Doing so we are using newest technology and methods to ensure the most efficient and successful outcome. Utilizing flexible ways of working we support our customers on site, via telephone or remote connect.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • In the role as Service Engineer for Marine Applications (Automation Systems) you will conduct the Life-Cycle for  ships and boats.
  • Deal with the automation systems of the control level on board in order to implement interfaces and complete solutions.
  • Ensure minimal and advise our customers in regards to obsolescence. This includes software as well as the correct selection of hardware.
  • In addition to automation, contribute to concepts and implementation of innovative approaches to support the service.
  • Perform functional tests, optimizations up to acceptance and handover to the customer.
  • Responsibility for several automation topics including the preparation, creation and updating of documentation.
  • Willingness to participate in On-Call-duties to ensure excellence customer support.

What You Bring

  • Completed a degree in automation technology, electrical engineering, computer science, information technology or have several years of professional experience in the engineering and/or commissioning of automation projects with the following focus on SIMATIC Manager or PCS7.
  • First engineering experience in the software area including the design of the required hardware.
  • Willing to perform worldwide travel as part of your duties (e.g.: service, commissioning or sea travels).
  • Within the context of personal competences, personal responsibility, the ability to work under pressure, organizational skills and commitment are particularly required, in addition to precise and accurate work.
  • Willing to work within a team and communicate ensure the team's success.
  • Willingness to cooperate in military projects.
  • Business fluent English and German Skills are essential.
  • Intercultural adaptability and social competence regarding other countries and cultures.
