From commissioning new systems to servicing, overhauling, exchanging, and updating operations, your role will be pivotal in ensuring optimal performance and reliability. You will embark on fact-finding missions to gather essential insights, tackle troubleshooting challenges, and execute repair tasks, all while contributing to a sustainable energy future. Your expertise will not only improve operational efficiency but also play a vital role in crafting innovative energy solutions that meet the demands of tomorrow.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Ensure strict compliance with safety standards (HSE)
- Supervise and carry out all commissioning and service work within the defined scope, including rectifier, transformer, circuit breaker, power factor correction systems, and mains filters
- Coordinate and lead all aspects of service and inspection work, as well as commissioning new plants within the DC power supply systems of electrolysis plants.
- Process and meticulously check associated documentation
- Lead and instruct subcontractors at construction sites
- Prepare detailed construction site reports
- Identify, report, and propose solutions for discrepancies and non-conformities to ensure project success
- Perform accurate electrical measurements
What You Bring
- A college or university degree in electrical engineering (Bachelor, Master, or Diploma)
- Proven knowledge of electrical engineering standards and norms
- Proficiency in English at a minimum of Level B1
- Outstanding communication skills, and team cohesion and coordination abilities
- Basic knowledge of PCS 7 automation system
- Siemens Energy product training on electrolysis systems
- Familiarity with the ‘Starter’ software (programming/developer environment on the rectifier) and the ‘TIA Portal’ software (both advantageous)
- Field service experience with transformers and rectifiers is desirable
- Basic understanding of control systems and their application
- Experience performing electrical measurements
- Willingness to learn and grow, especially if you are new to the field of electrolysis
