A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Financial Analyst- Projects, you will be responsible for all commercial/finance related matters and support the technical project manager in leading and optimizing targeted financial results with due professional care, including but not limited to handling Accounting, Legal, Tax and NCM topics! You will be working alongside the different business, such as Substation Projects (Greenfield, Replacement, Refurbishment, Extension), LTSA and O&M Contracts and Small orders. Any experience with Commercial Sales activities will be considered a plus.

 

How you will make an impact

  • Financial Management: Oversee the financial execution of projects, including the creation of sales orders, project setup in SAP, revenue recognition, invoicing, payment terms, and maintenance of project costs, securities, taxes, and insurance requirements while fostering strong customer relationships.
  • Project Financial Controlling: Conduct project controlling, forecasting, and reporting on the financial status of a dedicated portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with financial goals and objectives.
  • Contract Negotiations: Co-lead negotiations for contracts, claims, and change orders with stakeholders, ensuring financial interests are protected and aligned with project goals.
  • Variance analysis, what if scenarios, and trend analysis for the projects assigned.
  • Customer invoicing and cash collections management

 

What you bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in a Finance related discipline is Required; Finance, Economics, Business or Accounting preferred; CPM, CPA or someone who is working towards a CPA designation is a plus.
  • 3 or more years of financial project management and accounting for LTSA (long term service agreements) and open market projects. Hands-on experience in an Accounting or Finance role. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa
  • Revenue, Margin, Cash Flow forecasting for the assigned projects portfolio
  • Monthly revenue recognition according to Siemens Energy FRGs and IFRS
  • Conduct quarterly project reviews and present the updates to management jointly with the Project Manager and proficient with Microsoft Office, Power BI & Power Query, experience with SAP, as well as strong analytical skills
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
