As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for the procurement of materials, components, services, and development packages within a dynamic technology environment. You will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, Quality Management, and Strategic Procurement to ensure the availability of critical materials while continuously improving the competitiveness of our products.

In this role, you will drive procurement strategies, lead complex supplier negotiations, and develop a high-performing supplier network. You will be accountable for cost, quality, delivery performance, and risk management across the entire supply chain. The structure and key responsibilities of this position are based on the Senior Procurement Lead role for Digital Grid. 

How You'll Make an Impact

• Drive operational and strategic procurement activities for assigned commodities, materials, and services in product management  
• Lead RFQs, supplier selection processes, commercial evaluations, and contract negotiations. 
• Establish and maintain long-term supplier partnerships.
• Ensure cost competitiveness, material availability, and supplier performance. 
• Identify and realize cost-saving and productivity improvement opportunities. 
• Drive sourcing for R&D suppliers and identifying potential alternatives in sourcing for R&D demands as well develop and manage framework agreements and procurement contracts for R&D activities

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in strategic and/or operational procurement within an industrial environment, operational preferred.
• Deep Knowledge and skills of SAP MM, SAP S/4HANA, or comparable ERP systems. 
• Experience in cost analysis, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and cost engineering is beneficial.
• Strong analytical and structured approach to problem-solving. Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Additional languages are an advantage, e.g. German
