As a Senior Application Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will be at the forefront of delivering advanced automation and drive solutions for industrial and energy applications. Your day will involve designing, configuring, and commissioning Variable Speed Drive systems and PLC-based automation solutions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of motion control technologies, contributing to enhanced system performance and energy efficiency. How You’ll Make an Impact

• Configure and commission Variable Speed Drives (VSD) for various motor control applications.
• Design and implement automation systems using PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA for industrial and energy applications.
• Perform preventive maintenance and health checks on VFD systems to ensure long-term reliability and performance.
• Integrate motion control solutions into automation systems, ensuring precision and reliability.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during project execution and after commissioning.
• Collaborate with project managers, customers, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Lead technical discussions and mentor junior engineers in automation and drive technologies.
• Stay current with industry trends, especially in drive systems, motion control, and automation standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices in automation engineering.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Variable Speed Drives (VSD), including commissioning and maintenance.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell, etc.) and SCADA/HMI development.
• Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, Profinet, Modbus).
• Experience in motion control systems is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive mindset.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Passion for innovation and sustainability in industrial automation.
