Sales Support Professional at Siemens Energy

This role is a replacement to ensure business continuity within the Gas Services sales function for the Western & Central Africa region. The position is essential for supporting the sales team by managing the proposal development process for Siemens Energy's service offerings. To achieve this, the role is structured around two core areas: Proposal Development & Coordination, which focuses on creating and managing responses to customer requests, and Sales Operations & Data Analysis, which involves supporting the sales process with data-driven insights and administrative efficiency. This structure ensures that all proposals are accurate, competitive, and submitted on time, directly contributing to regional sales targets. Given the focus on proposal management and sales support, the ideal candidate will possess proven experience in proposal writing, cost analysis, and sales administration. They must be capable of working independently with general supervision, applying practical knowledge of sales processes and tools to solve difficult but typically not complex problems.

How You’ll Make an Impact  

  • Develop, plan, and schedule proposals in accordance with Request for Proposal (RFP) specifications.
  • Compile and integrate cost, schedule, and technical elements from various functional departments to create comprehensive proposals.
  • Coordinate the collection and accumulation of performance data and other required inputs from internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in fact-finding meetings, should-cost analyses, and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives.
  • Act as a member of the contract negotiating team, providing support and data as required.
  • Research and analyze historical data to develop cost models that support proposal efforts.
  • Support the sales force by processing orders, advising on delivery schedules, and acting as a liaison between customers and internal departments.
  • Assist sales teams with account planning, sales reporting, and maintaining data integrity in the CRM system.
  • Resolve customer complaints and inquiries regarding orders, pricing, and product availability.

What You Bring 

  • Association Of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Experience as an Experienced Professional (typically 2-5 years) in proposal analysis, sales operations, or a similar role, preferably within the energy or industrial sector.
  • Proposal & Sales Management

  • Negotiation, Customer Relationship Management, Value Propositions, Profit analyses, Technical & Analytical Skills, Forecasting, SAP Applications, Business Intelligence, Content & Communication, Editing, Grammar
