A Snapshot of Your Day
You will take on the role of IT SAP FICO Solution Architect, supporting and guiding initiatives across the global financial systems landscape by designing robust and scalable SAP FI/CO solutions that build on existing platforms. Your expertise in accounting and SAP FI/CO processes enables you to translate complex business requirements into practical, high-quality concepts that strengthen global financial processes.
You will collaborate closely with project teams, business stakeholders, and IT colleagues to review functional designs, validate data flows, and ensure new solutions integrate seamlessly with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, consolidation tools, and treasury systems. A significant part of your day will be spent supporting initiatives across countries and ERP environments, harmonizing processes, and ensuring local requirements align with global standards. You will identify improvement opportunities, uncover automation potential, and assess where AI-driven enhancements can add value while maintaining operational stability.
You will also contribute to strengthening in-house capabilities by coaching colleagues, sharing best practices, and enabling teams to deliver high-value use cases. Through your work, you will help mature the SAP and finance community while shaping high-impact solutions within a global environment.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Drive end-to-end SAP FI data-driven reporting initiatives from preparation and conception through realization and Go Live, covering both transactional and consolidated data.
- Lead multiple projects and operational tasks in parallel, ensuring smooth execution across a complex system landscape.
- Perform deep SAP FI data analysis to validate data quality, strengthen configurations, and support informed decision-making.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Build and expand in-house expertise across SAP ERP, treasury, and consolidation systems to enable delivery of high-value use cases.
- Champion global process harmonization by aligning country-specific and ERP-specific processes within a unified architecture that drives consistency and scalability.
- Identify redundancies and evaluate opportunities for AI-driven automation, presenting strategic proposals to enhance efficiency and accelerate innovation.
- Bring forward creative ideas and practical solutions to complex challenges, fostering continuous improvement.
- Stay adaptable and resilient in the face of shifting priorities, ambiguity, and tight deadlines while continuously developing professional capabilities.
What You Bring
- A university degree in Finance, Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field; qualifications such as ACCA, CA, CIMA, CMA, or MBA-Finance are preferred.
- More than five years of experience in a consulting environment or within the IT organization of a global company or comparable enterprise delivering SAP-focused implementation and support services.
- Strong understanding of financial business processes and extensive hands-on expertise in SAP FI configuration.
- Solid experience integrating SAP FI and SAP CO with other SAP modules to ensure seamless end-to-end process flows.
- Experience working with virtual, globally distributed teams in international project environments.
- Proven project-leading experience in S/4HANA implementation initiatives.
- High customer orientation, strong service mindset, and the business acumen to translate requirements into effective solutions.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills that support collaboration and stakeholder alignment.
- Strong writing, mentoring, decision-making, and facilitation capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and guide colleagues to ensure high-quality project outcomes and consulting services.
