A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Robotics Engineer at Siemens Gamesa’s blade manufacturing facility in Aalborg, you will play a key role in advancing automation in a real production environment. You will work closely with experienced colleagues to bring robotics solutions from concept into reliable, factory-ready systems.

You will support the Plant Aalborg Innovation Group by managing robotic systems, improving automated manufacturing processes, and taking an active part in innovation projects. You will spend part of your day on the shop floor, working hands-on with robot programming, testing, debugging, and improving robustness—especially as projects move closer to factory implementation. You will capture changes in a structured way and contribute to preparing the next iteration of our systems.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Support the Innovation Group in turning robotics and automation concepts into robust, factoryready solutions
  • Program, test, and debug robotic systems hands-on, contributing directly to system performance and reliability
  • Collaborate closely with tooling, software, and integration colleagues to ensure solutions operate as one coherent system
  • Contribute to safe and reliable automation by working within defined safety principles and proactively raising concerns
  • Capture learnings and improvements in a structured way to enable continuous improvement and future system iterations

Your work will directly enable automation concepts to move from idea to stable, scalable solutions.

What You Bring

  • A Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Robotics Engineering, combined with at least 2 years of hands-on experience working with industrial robotics in manufacturing or automation environments. You have practical programming experience with at least one platform (e.g. ABB, KUKA, FANUC, UR)
  • A strong understanding of robot fundamentals, including coordinate frames, TCPs, payloads, reach, motion, and basic error handling—and you know how to apply these in practice
  • Proven experience integrating robots with end effectors, sensors, and peripheral equipment such as conveyors, fixtures, and other automation components
  • A basic understanding of PLC interaction, including input/output handling, and how robots operate within PLC-controlled systems
  • A hands-on, structured, and solution-oriented approach, and being comfortable working on the shop floor—testing, debugging, and continuously improving system performance and robustness

About the Team

You will be part of an ambitious and experienced team working on robotics, automation, and digitalization projects. The team combines expertise in robotics, automation, tooling, software, system integration, and project management.

We value safety, responsibility, and well-engineered solutions that perform reliably in real production environments. Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) considerations are embedded in how we design, commission, and operate our systems.

You will work in a supportive environment that encourages learning, continuous improvement, and professional growth. Working hands-on alongside experienced engineers, you will be exposed to real shop floor challenges and have the opportunity to develop your technical skills while contributing to solutions that are scaled into production.
