A Snapshot of Your Day
The Technical Sales Director within the Siemens Energy Compression business is a key technical sales leadership function responsible for driving sales and solution development. Your mission is to demonstrate Siemens Energy’s superior value proposition by understanding client needs, presenting proven technical solutions, and providing concise technical responses. You will partner with Sales and Proposal Managers to build the sales pipeline and collaborate with global engineering and operations teams on technical intricacies. Site visits will be required for technical discussions, document reviews, spare parts' verification, field data acquisition and analysis, and joint troubleshooting with on-site engineers. Your primary objective is to establish strong teamwork with engineering counterparts at both operational and strategic levels.
You will be responsible for achieving segment sales targets and growth objectives alongside a high-performing regional sales team while identifying new business opportunities and developing technical solutions with key customers. This role requires close partnerships with our customer relationship team and positions you as the technical expert in the region driving sales growth. You will create and develop regional service and aftermarket solutions across Europe, collaborating with our bid management, engineering, and global operations teams to deliver order entry growth and operational excellence. This role reports directly to the Global Head of Sales and Bid Management for the Siemens Energy segment business.

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead the technical sales development process for complex projects and aftermarket services related to various compressors and gas engines.
- Drive service business growth across core markets, including Modernization & Upgrades, Repair, Field Service, Parts, Controls, Digitalization, and Service Programs.
- Develop and articulate a unique winning value proposition while adhering to company growth and profit guidelines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners, ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional service and support.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to implement a comprehensive sales strategy across the regional business.
- Forecast segment service business across the regional territory, ensuring accuracy and quality of forecasts.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Chemical, or equivalent) with 10+ years of industry experience in Oil & Gas and Industrial service segments.
- Strong knowledge and diverse background in compressors or industrial rotating equipment, preferably with experience at a major rotating equipment supplier.
- 10+ years of firsthand experience in compressor engineering, including design, fabrication, assembly, testing, and repair of API-617 compressors.
- Ability to baseline compressors with minimal data and develop high-level solutions to engage clients.
- Experience working with multinational organizations, demonstrating strong intercultural communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills, with the ability to deliver key projects on time and with high-quality output.
