Your daily work spans from ideation to physical validation: designing innovative components, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary experts, and seeing your concepts come to life through prototype builds and development testing. You’ll contribute directly to the next generation of high‑voltage products powering a sustainable energy future.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Drive the constructive implementation of new product ideas and integrate future technologies into next‑generation high‑voltage solutions.
• Collaborate closely with physicists, electrical engineers, materials scientists, and manufacturing teams to create robust, innovative technical designs.
• Lead and support prototype build activities, ensuring high‑quality execution and technical feasibility.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute development and type tests within a cross‑functional team environment.
• Model complex mechanical components and assemblies using PTC Creo, transforming functional requirements into manufacturable designs.
• Coordinate procurement of test parts and engage suppliers in technical discussions.
• Analyze test results and derive design improvements ensuring product reliability and performance.
• Create fully standard‑compliant technical drawings and documentation that meet Siemens Energy quality expectations.

What You Bring

• A university degree in Mechanical Engineering (focus on development, design, or product engineering).
• 3–5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Deep understanding of geometric dimensioning & tolerancing and tolerance chain calculations.
• Strong knowledge of materials technology, materials testing, and selecting suitable materials based on design requirements.
• Solid expertise in manufacturing technologies, force‑fit & form‑fit connection methods (especially bolted joints), and familiarity with material‑locking methods (welding, adhesives).
• Experience designing weldable constructions, cast parts, and plastic components.
• Confident use of 3D CAD systems; PTC Creo experience highly preferred.
• Excellent skills in standard‑compliant drawing creation.
• Team‑oriented mindset, strong problem‑solving skills, creativity, customer focus, and the ability to work independently.
• Fluency in English.
