A Snapshot of Your Day

Join us as the Major Projects - Project Implementation Team Leader, where you will lead, motivate, and inspire a dedicated team of Project Implementation Engineers (PIE). You will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service to stakeholders while upholding the highest standards of health, safety, environment, and quality. Imagine being at the forefront of planning, estimating, and implementing outages for large gas turbine power plants across the UK and Ireland. You will collaborate closely with various internal departments and engage in client and supplier meetings, ensuring seamless execution of major projects.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead the Project Implementation Team to achieve on-time delivery of outage schedules, estimates, and technical clarifications for sales bids.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Major Projects and FS Operation Managers to develop effective planning and execution policies for major project outages.
  • Integrate and implement technical and project control systems, ensuring timely processing of customer component quotations and orders.
  • Coordinate training for project implementation staff and FS operational teams, enhancing their proficiency in business systems.
  • Foster a culture of safety and integrity, supporting the strategic transformation of the Major Project Management organization.

What You Bring

  • A degree or HNC in engineering, with a recognized formal Project Management Qualification (e.g., APM, IPMA, PRINCE2) being advantageous.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in an engineering service company, with a strong background in engineering, procurement, or commissioning activities.
  • Proven project management or site leadership experience in a service contract environment, with knowledge of the power generation market sector being a plus.
  • Familiarity with planning software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a self-motivated, methodical approach to work.
