A Snapshot of Your Day

The mission of our Project Engineer is to take full ownership of cost, quality, and schedule for bid and execution projects. This includes handling suppliers and contractual aspects while working as part of the mechanical engineering team. Your role will involve working on detailed projects and conduct the implementation of mechanical subsystems and components (especially pumps) for gas and steam power plants and hydrogen production facilities.


How You'll Make an Impact

  • Take full responsibility for cost, quality and time schedule for a bid or execution project, including supplier and contract management activities.
  • Proposal engineering: evaluate and comment on customer specification, customers questionnaire, deviations, compilation of proposal documents, cost calculations & info regarding transport / erection for mechanical scope, as well as customer contracts (specifications & requirements)
  • Lead and participate in execution of mechanical sub systems / components of power plant projects especially with respect to pumps
  • Prepare technical specifications and inquiry documentation, but also customer documentation.
  • Analyze supplier offers and ensure technical bid evaluation
  • Collaborate with suppliers during execution phase
  • Coordinate and optimize interfaces (piping, electrical, I&C, layout).
  • Handle contractor schedules and budget allocations.
  • Participate in the design review process, while also reporting engineering hours, target dates, quality and costs for the mechanical scope of the design groups.
  • Coordinate the contractors with project and side requirements and review their engineering manufacturing and quality documentation.
  • Claim Management and consultation.
  • Problem-solving


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • You have already gained more than 10 years of professional experience in plant engineering, supplier handling and execution of international projects
  • Strategic orientation with a detailed knowledge of products and plant components, services and markets of industrial power plant & Combined Heat and Power solution business
  • Customer oriented: capability of changing perspectives and adapting strategies and actions to the dynamic environment
  • Ability to take ownership for components to provide the best solutions regarding budget, quality and time
  • Capability to lead multi-functional and cross-product line initiatives, domestically and international
  • Self-motivation with high energy drive and business sense
  • Capability of multitasking, with excellent organizational skills while assuring a high-quality work process
  • Eagerness for business travels with international contacts
  • Intercultural sensitivity, to work in a (virtual) international team.
  • Excellent English skills
